This is my baby a 1969 AMC AMX 2 seater no back seat 390 4 speed p/s and a/c....measures 97 inches center to center on the wheels..They shortened up the Javelin and took out the back seat. Built in Kenosha Wisconsin...

For a small block the 69 390 puts out a respectable 315 hp 425ftlbs torque @ 3200rpm....And only weighs 3050 lbs...

They only built 19,134 total AMX's 1968-1970...
7,364 AMX's were built in 1969 and around 500 390 4 speed with a/c.

AMX and Javelin production numbers fell well below what the big 3 were producing..

AMC has been gone since 1988 and there are those of us that love the cars and are trying to keep AMC alive....

This is a very clean car!! The paint has got to be at least 10 years old...It is starting to show...Everything underneath is new....There is no undercoating on the car...Looks just as good underneath...I drive her all over the place in the summer....

Just needs a few more things to make it look reaaallllyyyy nice. Finding parts for these cars is a real JOY!!!!! But they are out there...

Keeping the original look on the outside and interior. Then just a few goodies under the hood to dress it up a bit.....Lot's of fun to drive. Kids ask me ''What is it''.

July 2007 issue of Car Craft they did a feature on Readers Rides Big Blue was the only AMC that made it into the feature....Took me by total surprise...This is my 3rd one.

Let me tell ya I surprise many with my baby....These were built to run stop light to stop light....

Just google Craig Breedlove and watch some of the videos of the records he broke in 68 with a stock 68 390 AMX....
